Valronne

The Bravura Group has acquired a 50% shareholding in Valronne International. Valronne International is a recently founded international hotel and gaming group that is spearheaded by Ernie Joubert (formerly founding shareholder and CEO of Peermont Global Limited).

Ernie’s success in South Africa with Peermont is well regarded worldwide and he is utilising his many years of experience in the hotel and gaming industry to create a European footprint for Valronne International. Valronne International will aggressively pursue international growth opportunities, which will include both acquisitions of existing hotel and casino companies and the development of greenfield projects.

Magatar

The Bravura Group holds a controlling stake in the Magatar Group, a coal-focused group of companies which is pursuing the acquisition and development of coal assets in Southern Africa and Australia.

The Magatar Group also holds a majority stake in Magatar Mining, a coal mining company which owns a patented linear mining technology used in the optimization of underground coal mining. Magatar Mining is currently operational in Queensland (Australia), and is pursuing contracting opportunities in Southern Africa.

Property

Bravura Property was formed in January 2008 . Its objective is to expand and compliment the international asset base of the Bravura Group through diversification.

It will initially be focusing on commercial investment property, primarily in the office and industrial sectors in South Africa. Properties will be acquired for its own account or in conjunction with participation from Bravura’s existing client base, developers or other equity participants.

Properties identified must enhance the net income and value creation that the Bravura Group has come to be recognized for.

The property business is headed by Ashley du Toit who has a B Com (Accounting) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and has in excess of 20 years property experience. He was formerly employed at Nedbank, BoE and Investec property finance and private bank operations respectively.
