Rally to Read
Rally to Read is a program that has invested nearly R9 million in improving the literacy levels of young children in remote rural schools of South Africa and continues to reach more children and teachers every year.
Coordinated by Financial Mail, McCarthy Motor Holdings, the Financial Times and READ, convoys of sponsors in off-road vehicles depart during May to deliver educational materials to some of the most neglected schools in rural South Africa.
In addition, teacher training is provided to rural teachers on a continuous base by the READ educational Trust. |
